I currently have gout and can’t even stand to wear shoes. I had it last year and found that Cherries help the inflammation/pain. I bought Cherry Extract Capsules from GNC, but they also sell them online along with juice. Fresh Cherries or any kinds ofr cherries really help. They have a lot of Vit. C, which helps to clear all the Uric Acid out of your system. Drink lots of water too.

Hi Larry,

You should avoid the seafood as you mentioned. Many seafood are purine-rich, and that will worsen your gout condition.

I have be bothered by the gout for about 3 years..It comes and goes…I live in Mexico by the coast and enjoy sea food, Mexican hot dogs , read meat etc etc and I know it comes from my diet…I have been useing colchicine…but this drug keeps me close to the house [ bathroom] Also read about baking soda yesterday…Any real help would be welcome at this time…
