my mom is taking allopurinol, she doesn’t have gout or never had it. her uric acids levels are normal. her doctor wants her to keep taking it to prevent gout. I dissagre!! what do you think???

I am worried about taking Allopurinol, based on the side effects. I also take Indometh. I took Colchicine for a short time. I have gout & kidney stones. I also had the other stones ( I wish it was the Rolling) but, Unfortunitely , it was the open cholesctomy gallblader. Please advise!!!!
