Does gout attack the fingers? My thumb at the base of the nail bed began to get sore to the touch, I thought it was something to do with my nail but on the other side of the finger the skin is dry sometimes scalley and cracks. The pain has slowly travled lower into the joint like a dull ache especially when it is cold and humid while still having the sore spot on the base.
